These last few months almost everything has had the same smell on it. Whether it’s letters through the post, items bought in the supermarket, anything at all. It’s a very distinctive perfume smell. Doesn’t matter where it was bought or who delivered it, everything smells like this now.
Could you have your landlady verify for you? Definitely seems like olfactory hallucinations. Might want to bring it up with a doctor next time you see one.
She says she can’t smell anything but then she does have a poor sense of smell.
