    If USA is ever fixed, I hope they remove many of the presidents powers. He should have no say in pardons or handling of prisoners in any way.

      Unfortunately, that’s not likely to ever change. It’s a constitutional power granted to the president and would require an amendment to change/remove. Hope springs eternal.
