TCC personnel injured a dog after dragging it into a van instead of its owner on Admiralskyi Avenue in Odesa.
According to eyewitnesses, the man was walking his dog when men in uniform tried to detain him.
During the confrontation, the man managed to get away, while the dog was allegedly dragged into a minibus by its leash, witnesses claim. Some time later, the dog was found about 500 meters from the scene. The animal was found to have a leg injury.
According to the owner, the Jack Russell Terrier is named Tito. He is currently at home under veterinary supervision. The dog is being examined and prepared for surgery. According to preliminary information, the animal has been diagnosed with a knee joint injury.
“The guy didn’t run away. Alone, against ten thugs, he drove them off and gave them a good beating. They took the dog and started loading into the minibus. He ran after them and beat them up again. They threw the dog out about 500 meters away,” Odesa resident Tetiana wrote on social media.
The Odesa Regional TCC has not yet commented on the situation.
Dumskaya has also requested a comment from the police and is awaiting official information regarding the investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
