Anyone have any guess what watch actress Michelle Reis is wearing in this scene from Fallen Angels (1995).
The case shape and split screen immediately suggested “G-Shock,” but it took some work to narrow down which. It’s almost certainly this G-Shock 1995 Surfrider Foundation DW-002D-3. The surprising thing is that this model’s screen actually doesn’t have a hard “split” like other G-Shocks, but in the low lighting the 1-2-3-4-5 row could be mistaken for one.
Wow! This looks really close. I did notice that the watch she is wearing in the movie has a big red button on the side, which this watch doesn’t have. I’ll try looking at other 90’s G-Shocks though and see if I can’t narrow it down.
That’s a good point. I noticed the red button, but thought it could be a reflection coming off a metal button, which G-Shocks typically have. But the second photo does make it pretty clear that the button is actually red.
The distinctive band and bulbous “bar” at the bottom of the case seem to suggest Surfrider models from that era, e.g. this and this.
