Jeez, Carney is not being as hard on Trump as I wished he would’ve, guess I’ll have to vote green/ndp next year.

I almost wanna run conservative myself, I hold some conservative values but all of the con leadership are absolute fucking pussies I couldn’t stomach voting for any of em.

Well the NDPis always an option. If you kind of like the conservatives but you don’t like the current candidates you should probably get involved with your local writing association and see about helping to pick a candidate that you like. Or if you’ve already got a conservative MP in your writing meet with his or her policy committee or them directly and talk about what you’d like to see different. You’d be amazed at how much of an effect that has and if you feel that way then there’s bound to be others who also feel that way.

Democracy isn’t about just showing up once every four or five years to vote after all 😁

Do you mean “riding,” or is “writing” a term I’ve not learned about in civics class?

Phew! I’m only a PR so I don’t get to vote, which is no excuse, but kind of explains why — I’m ashamed to say — I don’t feel confident in my knowledge of the political system in Canada. I genuinely didn’t know if I was misunderstanding something. I appreciate your clarifying!
