Every historian would disagree with you. For almost all of humanity the mass majority lived short brutal lives, and often starved or were flat out killed. Hell, that was if you were the lucky few that survived childhood to begin with.

Capitalism isn’t the best system, but like democracy, it’s the best until some bright group of monkies come up with a better one that can be implemented.
