Damn that’s a stacked cast. Aaron Taylor-Johnson is an actor who seemed like he came out of nowhere in my world and has been impeccable in everything I’ve seen him in.

I agree with everything except him coming out of nowhere. He’s been acting for awhile and he keeps getting better.

I hear you, he had been around a long time before I saw him in something which then had me going back and saying “Oh wait that was him?!” In a bunch of movies I’d seen in years past. What impressed me was how unrecognizable to me his different characters were from each other, which I suppose is why I hadn’t realized it was the same person in many of them.

Honestly can’t blame you. There’s a pretty far gap between kick-ass and werwulf. It’s almost meme worthy to compare the two.

I have always appreciated that he moves between genres and tries different things. The fact that he’s seemingly joined Eggers’ list of go-to actors, makes me very happy. Him, Lily Rose Depp and Willem Dafoe friggin brilliant and they genuinely deserve to be in these crazy Eggers movies. I have had an eye on Lily Rose after The Idol. Terrible show, but she carried it entirely by herself and managed to salvage some of it with her performance. I was thrilled when she got to be in an Eggers movie because she deserves to be in great movies. She has mad talent.

Also, I know people have been poo-pooing Johnson’s acting in Nosferatu, but it’s okay for people to be wrong sometimes and not recognize a good performance when they see it.
