Relying solely on ground effect was doomed to fail. No race track is perfectly smooth, especially a certain road course in France…

For sure. It’s why it was banned to begin with. I applaud them for their efforts though. They made a fuss about it when they announced it. Kinda sad they couldn’t pull through, made the car quite unique (and prettier than this one!)
