It makes little sense
You can make several episodes of a tv show for a fraction of the cost of a large video game, and in muuuuuuuuuch less time
I can also watch a season of a TV show far faster than I can play through a video game at the size that AAA publishers keep making them.
Yeah, similarly, you don’t rewatch movies or series all too often, but there’s quite a lot of people that just play one or two games pretty much forever…
