I was referring to the former. The MSM was fully in the camp of surprise. “How could this happen to America?” When if you haven’t had your head in the sand the correct response would have been “damn it took this long?”

Also the ability to not correlating the ability to not condone an event like 9/11 but understand and sympathize why it happened.

We’re on the same page but I still believe the official story has way more holes in it than a swiss cheese, so I look at who benefitted the most. And that tells me the military industrial complex orchestrated those mass murders and the following wars.

9/11 happened here because our government has spent over a century interfering and intentionally destroying the stability of other nations. In Central America, South America, the Middle East, and parts of Asia, pretty much every country within those regions has been damaged by our imposing sanctions or regime change. Yes, it’s astounding that it took so long for someone to find a way to strike back at us here at home, and not that it finally happened.

Don’t attribute to conspiracy theories what comes down to greed and sociopathy. People profited off the tragedy not because they performed some clandestine bullshit, but because they were always ready to take advantage of just such a situation. The ghouls will never let a good tragedy go to waste.

What happened was - even by the official version - a conspiracy in the very sense of the word. The question that wasn’t sufficiently answered is who conspired with whom to bring about the events.

Don’t attribute to conspiracy theories what comes down to greed and sociopathy.

I wasn’t. I am just pretty sure that greed and sociopathy go a lot further than you might be willing to imagine.

People profited off the tragedy not because they performed some clandestine bullshit, but because they were always ready to take advantage of just such a situation.

That “clandestine bullshit” has been proposed in the former US administrations in all seriousness way before, see Operation Northwoods. I don’t have a crystal ball to know for sure what happened, but I have zero reason to believe the official version that is full of holes, and think following the money gets you much closer to the truth. And the military industrial complex is full of people who make their whole living off the business of murdering people. Do you really think those would bat an eye at the thought of killing a few thousand americans if it secured their profits for the next decades?
