I honestly didn’t think much of the F-91W at first. I kinda understood why it has the status that it does; it’s cheap, dead simple, and surprisingly tough for what it is, but even so, it always felt a little too basic and kinda meh for me (and the backlight looked like garbage, which it is – especially for an avid EL enthusiast like me)

Then I got one, and about a week later I realized I simply didn’t feel the need to take it off. It does everything I need it to.

I completely get it now.

I’m envious your strap hasn’t broken yet. Those things just fall apart after a year, unlike the watch itself which could probably survive being run over a couple of times.

Strap breaking is no big deal, just replace it. The other big fail the little holes stripping out, that are supposed to hold the strap pins in the lugs. That’s harder to fix. That’s happened to me with multiple Casios.

I went from a basic model to a cheap G-shock because of that (G-shock strap works differently and may be more durable). That’s been a pain because the G-shock is clunky and uncomfortable.

Best watch of all time IMO. Cheap, Lightweight, 10 year battery life, waterproof, ultra-reliable.
