Sergio Furnari said he thought the lifesize sculpture – which no one commissioned – would raise ‘millions’ of dollars
To add injury to insult, Furnari recently broke his foot working on the statue, after tripping over a roll of tape in his studio.
“Is it cursed? Maybe. I don’t know,” he told the Guardian.

I’d have to assume a gross overvaluation of the labour provided. Presumably he’s setting his own value, as nobody commissioned the thing, he hired himself at I don’t know… 1500 dollars a second or something, and then also had a team of middle-schoolers do the actual work by the look of it.
You think that’s the work of an entire team?
Well I did say middle-schoolers… They’re doin their best, man.
I don’t think they are.
