With the live-action "Moana" struggling to make waves at the box office, where does Disney go from here?

the rock likely does slop to cater to China, since they love western movies, dont really care if its bad. its not good for us/eu audiences. Adding on the rock to whatever movie or show guarantees it will suffer in the box office or ratings. they are better of using john cena and bautista.

Older list but, I feel hasn’t changed much. (God I hope it hasn’t.) He doea fine in China, but you could make the same statement about the US.

I think it’s a body suit, which would make it even funnier. Or maybe demigods just don’t have nipples.

Disney makes a ton of money internationally and on home video/streaming. They’ll be fine.

One movie not making its budget back is compensated for by all the movies that made many times their budget.

Fad-people are fickle beings. They will move on to the next fad-dom to enthusiastically throw money at. The “Disney Adult”-fad has been on the decline for a while now and will hopefully take the bloated corpse of Disney with it.

Yeah, but it’s got The Rock in it, so it’s sure to be an eventual box office smash.

I’m sorry, but as good an actor as the Rock is, I think he should have a stipulation in his contract that he not be forced to wear wigs or hairpieces.

The Rock is bald. This is vital. It’s like cutting Samson’s hair, his baldness is the source of his strength.

Polynesian mythology places strong emphasis on hair. Hair is the source of mana, evidence of warrior prowess, directly symbolizing strength and connection to ancestors.

You can’t really have a Polynesian demigod portrayed as a bald guy, it would be like having a beardless twink in jeans and wife beater play Santa.
