    Hmm. Did ice cream exist before the advent of modern refrigeration technologies?

    Surely the Nordic countries got cold enough every year, and they had cows for milk.

      Ice cream kindof existed since the Roman times. They hurled big ice blocks from the mountains to Rome, put some flavour Ind and sold it. Pretty beat for the times.
