Ich finds in Ordnung, dass wir öffentlichen Diskurs haben. Das sollte in der Politik viel öfter passieren, schließlich geschehen diese Gespräche im Namen des Volkes. Das hinter verschlossenen Türen zu machen halte ich für unehrlich. Man sollte das auch nicht immer direkt zu einem Untergangsszenario aufplustern.

I’m not sure if they’re available in your country / your language but I’m using inwx.de. The domains I wanted where cheapest on there compared to the other options I was looking at.

However, I don’t think they provide a SSL certificate. What I do (please tell me if this is stupid) is let Caddy pull a certificate from Let’s Encrypt and enter the necessary fields automatically into inwx over their API for a DNS challenge.

Correct me if I’m wrong but their suggestion is the creation of just another platform within that federated network. I don’t see an issue with that, if you don’t like their practices on the server, you move your repo. I think for federated networks to work, solutions, that are aimed at people who want things to simply work stable, need to exist to make migration viable. Not everybody wants to self host and there needs to be solutions and servers that provide services to enterprise customers.
