This burns people out. Key moderators of communities quit and communities become abandoned.
Are you referring to something specific? I haven’t seen a trend of a lot of mods quitting, modding is just not that attractive in the first place
Currently a bit busy, I’ll come back to the platform in a few days

Admins usually don’t want to allow direct registrations without email validation as it makes it too easy for spammers
Provider doesn’t really have any downside
Happy cake day!
Thank you for chiming in and your decision.
Good luck on your path forward
Feel free to create a dedicated post, people will probably want to help
i expect that we get the consequences sorted out before the end of this week.
Good luck with the end of the review
Zulip is a much better platform to be able to find information back, one day we’ll make it the main communication platform for Fediverse projects
That might explain it indeed!
You’re welcome 😄
Those write ups are really top notch
This is a known issue, @wjs018@piefed.social is aware of it
Cool idea !
Good luck, but creating a community is much more difficult than reusing an existing one.
Maybe try to reach out to @sorrybookbroke@sh.itjust.works to see if they would consider lowering the rules?
I raised the issue to @wjs018@piefed.social a few days ago, he’s going to work on this so that Piefed parses the links created by Lemmy autocompletion correctly
It is indeed not ideal that Lemmy autocompletion generates improper links, but it’s where the majority of the Fediverse users are, and most of them are going to keep using that feature, it’s too convenient not to
@rimu@piefed.social ?
