Yep, what few “features” the screen has have all been turned off, it is just kind of crap, when it got its (singular) software update, the update progress screen was displaying the top half of its frame on both halves of the screen.

But if a codec change or such happens (like to AV1 or h.265), it might not, we have an older 4k smart tv (Sharp Aquos LC-60UE30U) that can’t handle 4k streaming without dropping to single digit fps.

In my experience the USB 2.0 drives are slower to boot initially and install, but I think they decompress to RAM since for me it has never impacted performance while using the Live functionality, so if you are ok waiting for boot/install they are just fine.

Long commutes are absolute BS, there are 24h in a day, 8 at work, 8 asleep, if you have 3 hours to work and two hours back, you have all of 2 hours a day to yourself, there need to be laws against that.

PS2 -> serial seems correct, iirc their were serial mice.

The “open image in new tab” context menu option, off the top of my head, it has been 1000 small things with them, no 1 outrageous removal, but tons of them that didnt make big impacts yet still annoyed people who used them.

For excel as an example isnt it already like that? One click to the ribbon/menu, one click to the option, and maybe a 3rd if that option had a nuance dropdown

Looking it up I cant seem to find it, so I might be wrong. It may not have been lenovo but I remember news years ago about some OEM getting caught doing that.

Didn’t the superfish certificate install itself from UEFI even if you used your own windows image?

If the prosecution obtains it as evidence, I would think evidence handling procedure would make said discarding a no-go.
