Aucun pays ne veut participer à la force de Trump chargée de désarmer les combattants palestiniens. Très bonne nouvelle.
> ❗️Trump’s Gaza force plan stalls as countries grow reluctant to join
The Washington Post reports that President Donald Trump’s plan to place an international force in Gaza is faltering as governments expected to contribute troops are pulling back.
States that had signaled readiness, including Indonesia and Azerbaijan, are now reconsidering, with officials warning that any deployment could force foreign soldiers into confrontations with Palestinians.
No Arab government has agreed to send personnel, and Gulf states that once appeared open to the idea now express strong reservations, citing an unclear mandate and concerns over becoming entangled in Israel’s ongoing violations.
According to the report, Washington is struggling to secure commitments for what is envisioned as a 15,000–20,000-strong International Stabilization Force endorsed by a UN Security Council resolution.
Indonesia, once publicly willing to send up to 20,000 troops, is now considering closer to 1,200 and insists they would focus on non-combat tasks.
Other governments, including Pakistan and Italy, have not finalized positions, while West Asian states say the force’s role — especially expectations to “disarm any resistance” — remains too ambiguous and politically risky.
The delays mean any deployment, if agreed to at all, is unlikely before early 2026.
