    It’s a 3.3km gap that has a lot of seismic activity. A suspension bridge would need towers over 400 meters tall. Also, there’s already a good ferry infrastructure.

      A floating bridge could possibly work. The pontoon bridge suggested by Pliny the Elder was only briefly addressed in the video and discarded because of Roman trade via sailboats or ones powered by human labor. In modern times, it might add a day (but more likely less) to travel times for the average cargo ship.

      Evergreen Point’s bridge is 1km shorter then the distance needed (Approximately), but floats don’t have issues with distance like a suspension or whatever.
