Cybersecurity experts including the United Kingdom’s former cybersecurity chief are pouring cold water over Elon Musk’s suggestion that a large-scale cyberattack on his social media site X came from Ukraine.
Musk on Monday said X had been deluged by a “massive cyberattack" involving “either a large, coordinated group and/or a country.” The tech mogul and close ally of United States President Donald Trump later told the Fox Business channel that “there was a massive cyberattack to try to bring down the X system, with IP addresses originating in the Ukraine area.”
But cybersecurity experts were quick to push back.

Nobody that is even vagualy familiair with how internet works knows Elon can’t know where the attack is coming from. Cirtainly not so quickly.
Even if somebody only leveraged their botnet in Ukraine it could be his next door neighbour beeing the actual puppetmaster.
Origin IP’s mean zilch.
But ofcourse the people to whom he is Jesus himself will just gobble that conjecture up like it’s mama’s paella.
Sounds like a convenient excuse to cut/degrade Starlink service for Ukraine.

That’s funny, the Jerusalem Post blamed Palestinians. One other post I saw just said “Musk points the finger at everyone but himself” and that made me laugh.
The article states near the end that Pro-Palestinian group “Dark Storm” has claimed responsibility for the attack, but not everyone is convinced.
A) I don’t believe that for a second, they have much bigger shit to worry about.
B) If they are somehow behind the “attack”, I fully condone it and wish them the best of luck

Not sure I like how the summary talks all about Musk with just a tiny note at the end that experts are ‘pushing back’.
It wasn’t a summary, it was just the top of the article.
It’s just, too much Musk and too little of why he’s full of shit. People only skim these days, and if all they see is all about Muskrat, with a vague note that some experts disagree, then they’re probably going to wander on still thinking he has a functioning brain.
