Iran has quite a large Christian population, so this doesn’t surprise me. I’d rather they challenged my stereotypes of state-enforced homophobia and patriarchy. I don’t particularly judge for now, especially because Iran is the only serious regional opposition to the most vile country in the middle east, but it would be nice.

Just as Christianity is an offshoot of 2,000 year old Judaism, Islam an offshoot of 1,400 year old Christianity, virgin birth and all.
