Dozens of MPs in Justin Trudeau’s Liberal party have now agreed that Canada’s embattled prime minister must abandon his post after last week’s catastrophic resignation of his deputy – a sign he has completely lost support from what were crucial loyalists.
Several Canadian media outlets, including the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and the Toronto Star, reported over the weekend that 51 of Ontario’s Liberal MPs met virtually and agreed collectively that Trudeau’s time in office has expired.
And now there will be an extreme right wing government. Way to go canada
hey, everyone else is doing it
So let’s not join in please.
Corruption! You have Corruption! I have Corruption! We all have Corruption!
Shouldn’t the people be the ones deciding that?
Deciding what? That he should leave or stay? That’s basically what’s going to happen. He’ll be forced to call elections and the people can put him (or at least his party) back there.
Okay, fair. I’m admittedly not that well versed in
Frenchcanadian politics or government.Edit: Is admitting you were wrong a bad thing now?
Admitting, no. Calling it French, well, yes, since we’re talking about Canada. The French election system is different.
Oh, whoops, yeah, that my bad. I was tired when I wrote that.
The people voted for these representatives to represent them and their opinions for them.
Politicians represent lobbyists not constituents.
If we’re lucky our best opinion is a “lesser evil”.
Politicians represent lobbyists not constituents.
This isn’t America and than vote for people that represent the right constituents…:
How many options do you think we have to vote for?
There is no one that has my views on the issues I care about to represent me in anyway that reflects my wishes.
And lobbyists exist here as well…
